Abuser attacks computer, violates court order
1. Officers arrived at the scene of an assault involving a man and a woman. The suspect, a man, entered the woman's apartment at 31224 20th Avenue South by smashing the front door. Once inside, the suspect smashed the woman's laptop computer, destroying the machine (valued at $750). The woman had a valid no contact order out on the suspect. The man was arrested and charged with violating the no contact order and harassment.
BPA trail walker becomes victim of burglary
2. A victim parked at the BPA trail parking lot near 1500 Southwest 356th Street for an afternoon walk that lasted one-and-a-half hours. Upon returning to the vehicle, a gray 2002 Toyota, the victim discovered that the vehicle had been broken into. Thieves stole an accordion folder with business papers and checks. The victim also lost a mp3 player, valued at $250, but did not have a serial number.
Sibling rivalry turns to violence
3. Officers arrived at the scene of domestic violence on the 1800 block of South 310th Street. The Federal Way police discovered a fight between a 15-year-old and a 19-year-old sister. The 15-year-old had a warrant out for her arrest and was booked on the warrant and an additional charge of Assault 4/domestic violence.
Identity theft victim disputes falsely obtained cell phone
4. A woman came into the Federal Way police department to report identity theft. The woman, who lives on the 3000 block of Southwest 346th Place, told officers that she was recently contacted by a collection agency regarding a cell phone account falsely using her name, address, and a drivers' license number that was off by one character. The account was opened in person at the Commons mall on 11/13/05 at a cell phone kiosk. She gave officers a copy of the forged contract. She told police that another account had been opened around the same time with a different cell phone company. The woman has already resolved that dispute.
Student brings weapon to Saghalie
5. Representatives from Saghalie Middle School contacted FWPD to report that one of the students brought a BB gun to school's campus on 33914 19th Avenue Southwest. The student brought the gun to school concealed in his backpack on April 4. The gun was discovered and turned over to a teacher. Officers Mirandized the suspect and the boy provided a written statement. Officers released him to the custody of his stepmother.
Neighbor witnesses fireworks vandalism
6. Officers arrived at the scene of some malicious mischief on the 32300 block of 8th Avenue Southwest after neighbors called to report that an unknown suspect set off fireworks in front of the homeowner's door. The neighbor told police that they watched the entire incident. The suspect entered the front of the house on the porch. He then lit the fuse and rang the doorbell. The report states that the suspect fled the scene and is still at large.
Woman harasses customers at Winco
7. Federal Way officers arrived at the Winco store at 106 Southwest Campus Drive, where representatives of the company told police that a woman was verbally abusing customers and attempting to inflict harm on herself. Officers contacted the woman and observed her yelling profanity, spitting and sticking out her tongue at customers. Officers noted that it was clear the woman needed supervision. A caretaker of the woman told police that she was supposedly under 24-hour supervision. The woman, the report states, currently resides at a care home because of mental issues. The report did not state how the woman arrived at Winco.
