Domestic dispute occurs outside Trader Joe's
1. Chavis J. Martin was a witness to an unrelated domestic dispute that occurred at the Trader Joe's store on 32073 Pacific Highway South. Upon a computer records check of the witness, officers determined that Martin had a confirmed warrant out of Redmond for Domestic Violence harassment. Federal Way police apprehended Martin and relieved him to the custody of the Redmond Police Department at the Holiday Inn in Renton.
Tool thieves strike van parked overnight on street
2. A theft victim, who lives on the 32600 block of 10th Avenue South, called Federal Way police to report his work vehicle broken into while parked overnight on the street in front of his home. The victim reported that thieves punched the back door lock of his white 2006 Chevrolet, which belongs to his employer, and stole a Dewalt Drill/Saw Combo (valued at $45) and his checkbook. The man told police the van belonged to Pacific Air Systems. The man found out about the break-in after his neighbor called and told him that her vehicle had been broken into as well. The neighbor found his briefcase and personal items in the street.
Ex-girlfriend threatens accusations of sexual assault, man says
3. A man who lives on the 1500 block of Southwest 321st Street contacted police to report that his ex-girlfriend wants money from him. He reported that the woman said if she does not receive money from him, she will call the police and report sexual assault allegations against him.
Mother fears violent son
4. A woman, who was shopping at the Target store on 2201 South Commons, contacted an officer and reported that her son, who was sitting in the passenger's seat of her maroon 2004 Dodge, might be violent towards her. The woman, the officer's report states, appeared upset when she told police that the son had just threatened to punch her in the face. She also said that she is afraid of her son, and his actions and comments made her fear for her safety. According to the report, officers arrested the son and charged him with harassment.
Man goes missing after leaving for the gym
5. A complainant contacted Federal Way police to report that a man left his apartment on 1300 Southwest Campus Drive around 7:30 p.m. in his vehicle and headed to the gym at McChord Air Force Base. The complainant states that the man did not come home last night and did not show up for work the following day. The officers advised the complainant to call 911 if the missing person shows up.
Bank goes searching for dead man's vehicle
6. A representative of Chase Bank on 29050 18th Avenue South contacted Federal Way PD to report that one of their customers purchased a white 2004 Dodge and died without paying for it. Since January 2006, the bank has been attempting to repossess the vehicle, but they have been unable to locate it. They reported that a relative of the man (name withheld by police) might have it. Officers arrived at the relative's house and the residents told police that two other people had the vehicle in Burien. King County Sheriff's Office checked the Burien residence but did not find the vehicle.
Man files false report of armed robbery
7. The driver of a white 2004 Toyota called 911 and made a false report of being robbed at gunpoint at 2000 South 320th Street. The man told police that his wallet and $1,600 in cash were stolen by the robber. But his story began to change and officers determined that the details of his story were inconsistent with the scene. There was no visible damage to his vehicle although he stated he was involved in an accident with the suspect's vehicle. The man later admitted that he had lost his entire paycheck at PJ Pockets casino and filed the false report to account for the loss of money.
