RESOLUTION NO. 2006-11
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SOUTHWEST SUBURBAN SEWER DISTRICT, KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON, DECLARING ITS INTENT TO ANNEX THE AREA REFERRED TO AS 2006-03 ISLAND ANNEXATION - SEAHURST PARK
WHEREAS, RCW 57.24.170 authorizes the District to annex certain areas within or adjacent to the District's jurisdictional boundaries when such areas contain less than 100 acres and at least 80% of the boundaries of such areas are contiguous to the District; and
WHEREAS, the area referred to herein as 2006-03 Island Annexation - Seahurst Park is an area that meets the statutory criteria set forth in RCW 57.24.170, in that the subject annexation area is 45 acres in size and 100% of the area's land-based boundaries are contiguous to the District's boundaries and no portion of the area is contiguous to any other municipal entity providing sewer service; and
WHEREAS, the boundaries of the proposed annexation area referred to herein as 2006-03 Island Annexation - Seahurst are set forth and legally described in Exhibit "A" and depicted in Exhibit "B" attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the District believes that there are approximately 110 registered voters residing within the proposed annexation area; and
WHEREAS, the District believes it is in the best interest of the District and the residents and property owners within the proposed annexation area to be annexed into the District; and
WHEREAS, the District's Board of Commissioners desires to have a public hearing on the proposed annexation of such area in accordance with the requirements of RCW 57.24.170 and 57.24.180.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Southwest Suburban Sewer District, King County, Washington, as follows:
1. The Board of Commissioners of Southwest Suburban Sewer District, by this Resolution, hereby declares its intent to annex the area referred to herein as 2006-03 Island Annexation - Seahurst Park, as generally described herein and as legally described in Exhibit "A" and depicted in Exhibit "B" attached hereto.
2. A public hearing regarding the District's intent to annex the area referred to herein as 2006-03 Island Annexation - Seahurst Park shall be scheduled for May 2, 2006, commencing at 6:00 p.m. at the District's office for the purpose of taking public comments from the residents and/or property owners of the area regarding the District's intent to annex this area by subsequent resolution.
3. The District's employees are directed to publish a notice of hearing in the manner required by RCW 57.24.170 relating to the District's intent to annex this area by subsequent resolution.
ADOPTED by the Board of Commissioners of the Southwest Suburban Sewer District, King County, Washington, at a regular meeting thereof held on this 4th day of April, 2006.

Seahurst Park Annexation
A portion of Section 24, Township 23 North, Range 3, East W.M. situated in King County, Washington, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the line of extreme low tide of Puget Sound with the South line of Tract 89, of Supplemental Plat of Seahurst Park, according to the plat thereof recorded in volume 34 of plats, page 7, records of King County, Washington.
Thence Easterly along said South line to its intersection with the Northwesterly margin of vacated Southwest 148th Street (North Seahurst Drive);
Thence Southerly along said Westerly margin to its intersection with the westerly margin of 28th Avenue Southwest (Auto Drive);
Thence southerly along said westerly margin to its intersection with the westerly projection of the straight line common to the northerly lines of Tracts 101A and 102 of Seahurst Park, according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume 21, page 47, records of King County, Washington;
Thence east along said westerly projection and north line of said Tract 101A to the Northwest corner of Tract 102 of said Seahurst Park.
Thence continuing easterly along the northerly lines of Tracts 102 and 103 of said Seahurst Park to an intersection with the southerly extension of the centerline of 27th Avenue SW;
Thence northerly along said centerline and its Southerly extension to its intersection with the centerline of Southwest 149th Place (Mt. Baker Way);
Thence Northeasterly along said centerline and its Northeasterly extension to its intersection with the centerline of 24th Avenue Southwest (Vashon Avenue);
Thence northerly along the centerline of 24th Avenue SW to the easterly extension of the south line of Tract 70 of said Seahurst Park;
Thence westerly along said extension and the south line of said Tract 70, to a line that is 192 feet west of and parallel with the east line of said Tract 70;
Thence northerly along said parallel line, to the north line of said Tract 70, being also the south line of Tract 71;
Thence easterly along the south line of Tract 71 a distance of 112 feet to a line 80 feet west of and parallel with the east line of said Tract 71;
Thence northerly along said east line to the north line of said Tract 71;
Thence easterly along the north line of said Tract 71 and its easterly extension to the centerline of 24th Avenue SW;
Thence northerly along said centerline to the north line of Section 24, Township 23 North, Range 3 East W.M., also being the south line of Section 13 of said township and range;
Thence westerly along said north line and its westerly extension to an intersection with the line of extreme low tide of Puget Sound;
Thence southerly along said line of extreme low tide to the point of beginning.
