Highline 5, Evergreen 1
Marshall Kosaka started off the Pirates on their way to victory Saturday, April 22 by scoring on an assist from Armin Okanovic and Grady Wood. After his score in the 18th minute, teammate Daniel Michel scored in the 24th minute on a Mowlid Hersi assist.
Hersi was assisted by Okanvic in the 27th minute, then Evan Richter struck on a Wood assist in the 48th minute.
Christian Garcia scored Evergreen’s only goal in the 67th minute, but Highline came right back with Okanovic putting in a Hersi assist in the 69th.
Foster 2, Eatonville 0
Nurko Huremovic earned the shutout on goal for the Bulldogs Thursday, April 20.
Kamal Mtan scored Foster’s first goal in the 43rd minute on a Sheikhnour Farah assist. Kenny Kramer then struck in the 60th minute on a Deain Lukic assist.
Mt. Rainier 1, Hazen 1
Dalton Rockwell scored unassisted in the 75th minute to forge a tie with the Highlanders.

Renton rallied past the Totems Friday, April 21.

Josh Burnside opened the scoring for the Lancers with a goal in the 10th minute off an Eli Gordley assist. Gordley was assisted by Burnside in the 14th minute and Ryan Monson scored unassisted in the 21st minute.
Gordley struck on a Nick Kramer assist in the 43rd minute and Gordley was assisted by Tony Armitage in the 49th.
Highline 0, Kennedy 0
The Pirates and Lancers played to a scoreless tie Tuesday, April 25.
Chris Blais earned the JFK shutout and Kyle Roudebush the Highline shutout..

David Lugo and Blase Smith split Mount Rainier’s shutout of Evergreen Tuesday, April 25.
Ruben Orozco scored in the 30th minute on a Jimmy Bohamus assist and Orozco struck again on an A.J. Nitzel assist in the 66th minute. Brad Bodle assisted Orozco in the 70th minute and Dio Baptiste was assisted by Orozco in the 71st. Orozco scored the final goal unassisted in the 77th.

Foster took a loss in a shootout Tuesday, April 25.
TedlaYohannes scored for Foster in regulation time and Sheikhnour Farah provided the assist. Farah scored the next goal in the 23rd minute on a Kamal Matan assist.
Girls track
Evergreen 62, Tyee 33
Tyee opened Thursday, April 20 action with Roman Streke winning the 3,200 in 16:22.52. Jeannette Hughes took the 100 in 14.12 for Evergreen and Nikita Vasser the 1,600 in 7:23.86. Tyee finished first in the 400 relay (58.64) and Kristie Bowler of the Totems won the 400 in 1:08.04. Esther Flugge won the 800 for Tyee in 2:51.72 and Hughes took the 200 in 29.75. Evergreen finished first in the 1,600 relay in 5:10.90 and Naomi Aferti of the Wolverines won the shot put (37-2) and discus (103-11.25).
Violini Vini of Evergreen won the javelin at 71-1 and teammate Nebiat Gebreziabher won the long jump at 12-8.
Highline 83.5, Hazen 66.5
Rachel Johnston won the 100 hurdles for Highline in 18.07 Thursday, April 20 and Kelly Mason won the 100 in 13.42 with Highline taking the 400 relay in 51.99. Siri Berg won the 300 hurdles in 51.78 and Mason took the 200 in 27.61. Kayla Taueli took the shot put at 36-5 and Nkeiru Ugwoaba won both the long jump (15-2) and triple jump (35-7).
Mount Rainier
Mount Rainier lost to Renton by an 87-54 score Thursday and to Lindbergh, 97-44.
Hogan won the 100 hurdles in 17.52 and Vbranic won the 800 in 2:34.53. Yapp won the shot put at 30-4.
Boys track
Evergreen 62, Tyee 38
Vargus of Tyee took the 100 in 14.01 and Kirt the 200 in 25.45 with Leonard winning the 400 in 57.30. Tyee teammate Sawyer took the 800 in 2:22.97 and Altier won the 3,200 in 11:32.99 and 1,600 (5:15.55). Kelemente of Evergreen won the shot put at 37-1.5, the discus at 121-11.5 and the javelin at 97-5. Cordova of Evergreen won the high jump at 6-2, the long jump at 20-5 and the triple jump at 41-3.
Hazen 84.5, Highline 60.5
Murray took the 100 in 11.5 and the 200 in 22.91 for Highline before Tucker took the 110 hurdles in 16.42. Cradle won the high jump at 5-6 and Tague the long jump at 18-9. Gomez won the pole vault at 11-0.
Mount Rainier
The Rams took a 109-32 loss to Renton and an 86-44 loss to Lindbergh in action Thursday, April 20.
Cadogan won the 100 in 11.48 and the Rams won the 400 relay in 47.28. Ehlers took the triple jump at 39-8.5.
Coed track
Highline Relays
Highlinewon two events in the event it hosted Friday, April 21. It took the boys shot put relay with a 122 length and the girls shot put relay at 90-4. Highline also won the boys javelin relay at 360-11.5.
The Pirates took third overall with 131 points and Tyee was sixth with 48.
Foster
Foster was a triple winner on both the boys and girls side in a non-league meet Friday, April 21.
The Bulldog boys beat North Mason, 83.5-51.5 and also defeated Port Townsend, 113.5-20.5, and Life Christian, 112-15.
Foster’s girls squadwon, 93-37, over North Mason and, 89.5-42.5, over Port Townsend. The topped Life Christian,100-33.

Miller went the distance on the mound to take home the victory Thursday, April 20. Oka hit 3-for-5 and Gentele, Frick and Humann hit 3-for-4 and Herman hit 2-for-4.

Dotson hit 1-for-2 and Lotte Faatela 1-for-3 with an RBI for Foster in Thursday’s loss.

Mount Rainier was outslugged by Lindbergh in a slugfest Monday, April 24.
Sarah Martinez hit 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI and a home run, while Christy Loftus hit 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI. Kelly Parsons hit 3-for-4 with a run, three RBI and a home run and Nikki Murray had two RBI and scored a run.

The Lancers put the Highlanders away in five innings Monday, April 24. Sadie Vanderwal threw a two-hit shutout for JFK and she also hit 2-for-3 and scored two runs. Ashley Engel hit2-for-2 with three RBI and Taylor Trautmann hit 3-for-3with three runs and a stolen base and Karli Merich 3-for-3 with a triple, three runs and five RBI. Dew Spadoni hit 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs and four RBI.

Rachel Williams doubled, drove in two runs and scored three runs for Highline Monday, April 24. Kelsey Decker scored three runs and had two RBI and a stolen base, and winning pitcher Anna Herriedhad a home run, two runs and four RBI. Giovanna Palatia hit 3-for-4 with a double and three runs scored and Brittany Powell 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI.
Tyee 10, Evergreen 0
The Totems rode a three-hit shutout by Maniqua Sanchez to victory over the Wolverines Monday, April 24. Sanchez struck out 12. At the place, she hit a triple and racked up three RBI. Jena Landenberg hit 4-for-5 with a triple and two RBI and Shaffer 2-for-5 with a double, a two-run home run and three RBI. Sydne Jacobson hit 3-for-4 with a triple and one RBI.
Brandi Brown hit 2-for-3 for Evergreen.

Shanna Shepherd hit 2-for-3 and Shalice West 3-for-4 for Evergreen in its close loss Monday, April 24.

Meagan Newman won on the mound for the Rams Wednesday, April 26 after throwing three innings with no hits allowed and five strikeouts induced. She also hit 3-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI.
Kelly Parsons hit 1-for-2 with one run scored, two RBI and a double. Copenhaver hit 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI and a double and Murray 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. Loftus hit 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Sanchez racked up 15 strikeouts and walked only two with just three hits allowed. Marie Faye Schafferhit 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Sydnee Jacobson hit 3-for-4.

Dew Spadoni earned the shutout win against Evergreen Wednesday, April 26, striking out 11 in five innings. She also hit 1-for-3. Merlich threw two innings of relief and kept the shutout going until its completion. Ashley Engel hit 2-for-2 with two RBI and Kristen Meyers 1-for-3 with a triple.

Herried hit 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI for Highline in the loss.
Tyee 6, Mt. Rainier 2
Sanchez threw a complete game for the Totems, striking out 11 on her way to Thursday’s win. She also hit 2-for-4 and scored one run.
Jenna Ladenberg hit 2-for-4 and scored two runs, with Marie Faye Shaffer hittting 1-for-3 with a triple, two RBI and one run scored. Sydnee Jacobsen hit 1-for-2 with one run scored, one RBI and a triple. Murphie Muir hit 1-for-3 with one RBI as kristin Ennis hit 2-for-3.

Foster
The Bulldogs came up short, 342-413, against Sequim Tuesday, April 25 and tied Steilacoom at 413-413. Foster won the tiebreaker with Steilacoom.
Patrick Kent of Foster won medalist honors with a round of 77 at Dungeness.
