1. A man drove his maroon 1993 Ford to a team of Federal Way officers and reported a theft involving another person, his ex-partner. After taking a statement from him, the police determined that the theft was a civil matter between the two parties and the man was advised on his rights to proceed. Upon running his name through the system, officers determined that the suspect was driving with a suspended license. After the police left the scene, the man called 911 and falsely reported that the other suspect shot a gun at him. Officers arrested the caller and booked him into the Fife jail on charges of second-degree driving with a suspended license.
Driver catches suspects throwing objects at passing vehicles
2. The driver of a red 2000 Volvo contacted Federal Way police to report that juveniles had thrown an object at his moving vehicle while traveling eastbound on 3000 Southwest 320th Street. No noticeable damage occurred to the victim's Volvo. The driver contacted two suspects who denied throwing anything at the vehicle, but stated that they were with two other subjects who were committing such acts. The two suspects stated that the other two subjects were also hanging out with them. One of the suspect's parents were contacted and both of them were released to the first suspect's mother.
Guests become suspects in home robbery
3. Officers arrived at the scene of a possible home robbery at an apartment complex on 2409 Southwest 352nd Street. The victim, a juvenile, said he had three juvenile friends over at his parents' apartment. While they were there, the report states, a record player and amplifier were taken. The suspect did not witness anyone take the items, but told police that he knew two of the juveniles were unattended in his room before the items were noticed missing. The victim told police that the record player was recovered outside his bedroom window, but the amplifier-a blue Pheonix model-was never found. Officers interviewed all three juveniles and all three denied knowing anything about the items.
Assault occurs at Pacific Highway 7-Eleven
4. A woman called Federal Way police to report that while she was in the 7-Eleven convenience store on 31006 Pacific Highway South, an unknown suspect hit her in the nose and mouth for no apparent reason. The event occurred on May 18 shortly before 5 a.m. The victim told police that she was unable to identify the suspect. Officers are closing the case pending new leads in the assault.
