The five sites on this year's Highline Garden Tour run the gamut from lakefront to the newly upgraded Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden.
Sponsored for a second year by the Highline Historical Society, the tour will take place Saturday, June 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tour-goers will also get a sneak peek at the botanical garden's new Japanese garden.
Portions of the Seike Japanese Garden have been moved from the former Des Moines Way Nursery since the Port of Seattle bought the nursery as part of Sea-Tac International Airport's third runway project.
The transferred garden will be formally dedicated on Saturday, June 24.
On the Highline tour, a harpist will perform at one of the stops while other gardens will feature mulching and compost information, a Master Gardener and the Times/News' Lazy Gardener columnist, Stephen Lamphear.
Other special features include a plant and garden art sale, raffle and sponsor giveaways.
Advance ticket prices are $15 per person or $12 per person for four or more tickets.
On the tour date, tickets are $18.
Tickets are available by calling the historical society at 206-241-5786 or stopping by Burien Bark, 13258 First Ave. S., or Herr Backyard Garden Center, 107 S.W. 160th St.
Sal's Deli, 15212 6th Ave. S.W., will sell tickets on June 10, beginning at 9 a.m.
