Burien Little Theatre opens its 2006-07 season Friday, Sept. 8, with the Tony Award-winning comedy Art by Yasmina Reza.
BLT's production runs through Oct. 1. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. at the Burien Community Center, Southwest 146th Street and Fourth Avenue Southwest.
Art tells the tale of Serge, who has just purchased an enormously expensive modern painting to hang in his living room. He can't wait to show it to his buddy Marc.
Marc hates it. Serge is annoyed. Yvan attempts to placate his two friends, but ends up annoying them both.
The production is not suitable for children younger than 13 due to language.
New this season, Burien Little Theatre is introducing "Five Buck Friday" on the second Friday of each show. On Sept. 15, admission for Art is $5; with audience members welcome to donate more if they wish.
For all other performances, general admission is $18 Fridays and Saturdays and $15 Sundays. Senior and student admission is $15 for all shows.
