Even though she called 911 to say her angry husband 'went berserk' (running upstairs and punching the walls) and tried to prevent her from calling for help even though he allegedly threw a case of bottled water at her windshield and shattered the rear driver's side window with his fist and allegedly shoved their 7-year-old daughter to the ground when he discovered her talking to the 911 operator (who had called back after being hung-upon on) and even though there is a history of domestic violence, and officers urged her to stay elsewhere in case the suspect returned, a local woman refused to leave her home, saying that she didn't have anyone to feed her dogs.
An officer questioned four teens who were spotted smoking marijuana near Madison Middle School on Wednesday. One 14-year-old co-operated with the officer, but the second, who is 13 years old, yelled profanity, struggled and refused to comply with their attempts to escort him to a squad car. The threat of a taser finally got him under control and into handcuffs. As they secured him in the vehicle, the officers could small liquor on his breath. They checked the 13-year-old's bag and found two quarts of beer_one was half empty. All four teens were released to parents or guardians.
Three male teens approached a man who was waiting for a bus at Delridge and Juneau Saturday evening. One punched him in the face and demanded the man's backpack. All of the suspects wore distinctive clothing or hair and were spotted and picked up later in the evening. They were booked into the Youth Service Center for investigation of robbery.

When a customer was seen stuffing items into her bag, an employee asked to look inside. The woman refused and left, claiming she needed to use the restroom at the West Seattle Bowl. But two employees followed. When the woman exited the restroom and saw them, she created a scene, accusing the employees of racial profiling. She displayed an empty bag, but fled when asked to stick around during a search of the ladies room. Inside one stall was $150 of merchandise.
As a man walked near 24th and Henderson around 6:30 Sunday evening, five black male teens approached and demanded his wallet and a pizza he was carrying. When the victim told them to get away, one punched him in the back of the head, knocking him to the ground. Then the other four joined in, striking the victim in the head and across the nose. They grabbed his pizza and ran eastbound on Henderson. They passed a witness who told officers that as they ran by, the youths were bragging that they had beaten and robbed someone. The pizza was found discarded along the street.
A relative's concerns led police to the 3400 block of 40th SW. They found two older adults living in 'shocking and neglectful' conditions. Junk, paper and items covered the floors which, where visible, were filthy. Dirty dishes filled the sink and there was no working shower or bath in the residence. Adult Protective Services has been informed.
Intoxicated and depressed, a South Park youth hit himself on the head with a beer bottle several times and then tried to hang himself from a tree with his belt. Medics transported the 16-year-old to Harborview, and officers provided his family with information on mental health services.
A man was seen cutting down a de-energized power pole near Cooper School and stealing copper wire and transformers on Tuesday. Such scenes are becoming more commonplace throughout Seattle, as people intend to sell the wire for scrap. Being near a school, this case involves additional danger, since the insides of transformers contain hazardous PCB-laden oil. School officials were warned to keep children away from the theft area. City Light reports the damage and loss at over $10,000.
In the 10000 block of 35th SW, unknown persons broke into a home and trashed it, drawing derogatory and racist messages, symbols and images on the walls. Garbage was thrown all over the kitchen, and water damage caused the ceiling of the downstairs bathroom to collapse. Investigators estimate damages at $25,000.
Nineteen car prowls and five domestic violence incidents were reported in greater West Seattle last week.
