A Burien dentist, his wife and her father were charged on Sept. 15 with 31 counts of trafficking stolen property, leading organized crime, possession of stolen property and money laundering.
Arrested following a two-year investigation by local police agencies were Richard Calvo, 37, his wife Leslie Calvo, 38, and her father, 69-year-old Mercer Island resident Martin Levy.
All three are accused of hiring local drug addicts and homeless people to steal high-priced items that they would either keep, or sell in a Seattle pawnshop owned by Levy.
Items stolen include Armani suits, glassworks, cell phones, Coach purses, and golf clubs.
