The Klahanee Lake Community Center is the place to be on Friday, October 27 from 6 to 8:30 P.M., when the City of Federal Way hosts its annual Tricks N Treats Funfest. Cats are on the prowl at Halloween and a 4-H club is being formed for Federal Way children who are cat-crazy. Kids from pre-school through 5th grade will enjoy the Haunted House presented by Thomas Jefferson's Future Business Leaders of America chapter. Presented as a community service by the group, the event is free to students dressed in costume. Those without costume are asked to bring a canned good for the local food bank. This coming weekend is your last chance to catch the Fright Fest at Wild Waves and Enchanted Village. From 5-11 P.M. on Friday and Saturday and 5-9 P.M. on Sunday, parkgoers will find a 3,000 square foot Haunted Mausoleum, the Horrifying Hall of Hearses and a Fright Fest Murder Mystery among the scary fun. The two police officers who serve at the Federal Way Police Department's substation at the Commons Mall are handing out "Halloween Safety Bags" this coming weekend through Halloween.
