after ill-timed stop at store
A man was held at gunpoint, robbed and forced to drive his assailant after a late-night 7-11 stop on Oct. 13.
Around 12 a.m., the 47-year-old victim stopped at the 7-11 on 2904 Kent-Des Moines Road. While walking toward the store he saw the suspect climb into the passenger seat of his truck. He got back into his driver's seat and told the trespasser to get out.
The suspect then pulled a gun from his waistband and put it to the man's ribcage and told him to drive.

The suspect got out of the car, pulled the victim from the driver's seat and forced him to the ground. His wallet and keys were taken and the suspect rummaged through the glove box as well.
After waiting for the suspect to leave, the man called his wife on his cell phone. He reported the case a few hours later, stating he was afraid and unsure of what to do.
Attack for failure to flush
A 32-year-old woman was arrested on Oct. 17 after attacking her husband for not flushing the toilet.
Around 9:30 p.m. at a residence in the 26600 block of 19th Ave. S., Des Moines, the man told police his wife called him names, spit in his face, grabbed his neck and squeezed, creating small scratches. He also claimed she hit him in the arm and chest with a closed fist.
The wife was in the other room when the officer arrived and confirmed that she was mad because her husband didn't flush the toilet, but denied physical contact.
She was booked in the Renton Jail on a charge of fourth-degree assault.
Warrant leads to arrest
A 41-year-old man was arrested on a no bail/escape warrant by Des Moines police in the parking lot of the Redondo Bar and Grill in the 27000 block of Pacific Highway South, on Oct. 14 at 12:34 a.m.
