Beamer 44, Sp. Lake 28
Todd Beamer racked up the points to outscore the Sentinels Thursday.
Spanaway Lake jumped out to a 7-0 lead, but Beamer bounced right back with Lamardray Fuller scoring on an 8-yard run and Brennan Hall kicking his first of four extra points.
Cole Bixenman then struck on a 1-yard run and Hall's kick made it 14-7. After the Sentinels tied it at 14-14, Hall came through with a 34-yard field goal to put the halftime score at 17-14.
Spanaway Lake took the lead at 21-17, but Fuller answered with a 9-yard touchdown run and a 10-yard touchdown run and Bixenman scored on a 34-yard run. The Sentinels only got one of the touchdowns back before Fuller capped the scoring with a 5-yard touchdown run.
Kentlake 15, TJ 10
Thomas Jefferson came up just short of Kentlake in a low-scoring game Friday.
The Raiders opened the scoring with Angelo Harris rambling for a 60-yard touchdown, and Billy Briz-Boys made the kick for the extra point and a 7-0 lead.
Kentlake answered with a touchdown, a missed kick and a safety to pull the Falcons ahead, 8-7. Briz-Boys then blasted a 20-yard field goal for a 10-8 TJ lead, But Kentlake went ahead to stay on a 1-yard touchdown run by Lewis Larson and an extra point kick.
K-M 14, Decatur 13
The Gators also lost a close, low-scoring game Friday. They jumped out front as Paul Cooper punched in a 2-yard run and Jake Waddle kicked the extra point. Jesse Earle of Kent-Meridian scored on a 15-yard run but the extra point failed to leave the score at 7-6.
Cooper contributed another touchdown for the Gator cause, this time on a 14-yard run, and a run for a two-point conversion failed for a 13-6 advantage.
Kent-Meridian won it with a 10-yard touchdown run by David Over in the fourth quarter and Over ran in for the two point conversion that made it 14-13 and won it.
Girls soccer
TJ 2, Kentwood 1
Thomas Jefferson nailed down the South Puget Sound League North Division's No. 1 postseason berth with the Tuesday, Oct. 17 victory over the second place Conquerors.
Alicia Kiele scored the first goal unassisted for Kentwood in the 12th minute, but the Raiders stormed back to tally two to win it.
Brittany Creek tied it in the 18th minute on a Kelsey Racicot assist and Mel Hicks scored the winning goal in the 27th minute on an Amy Pate assist.
Federal Way 1, Kentlake 1
Molly Campbell scored the Eagles' goal on an unassisted play in the seventh minute but Kentlake came back to tie it.
Decatur 3, Kentridge 3
Sarah Isaac scored the opening goal in the 10th minute for the Gators, then she struck again on a Jolina Amarino assist in the 23rd.
But what became a back-and-forth match the rest of the way ended in a tie. Laura Bressler of Decatur scored unassisted in the 55th minute and then the Gators held on for the tie.
Beamer 2, Rogers 0
Nikki Mills recorded the shutout against Rogers on Tuesday, Oct. 17. Kaylee Huie scored on a Jordan Crook assist and Jordan Salisbury on a Megan Miller assist.
Decatur 2, TJ 0
Sarah Isaac and Kelsey Disbrow both scored for the Gators in Thursday's crosstown win over the Raiders. Kayelyn Kanesta earned the shutout on goal. #aura Bressler earned the assist on Isaac's goal.

Kentridge 103, Decatur 83
Decatur won the opening 200-yard medley relay in 1 minute, 56.84 seconds Wednesday, Oct. 18 and Danielle Alger took the 200 freestyle in 2:04.42. Briley Boggs won the 100 butterfly in 1:00.10 and Kira Alger won the 100 free in 57.55. Danielle Alger then won the 500 free in 5:47.36 and Katie Matulic took the 100 backstroke in 1:02.79 and Matulic also won the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.01. Decatur captured first in the 400 relay in 3:55.98 but still fell short on the scoreboard.
Kentwood 125, Federal Way 61
Maley Prothero won the 200 free for the Eagles in 2:05.61 and Craig took the 200 individual medley in 2:31.53. Penor scored 143.15 points to win diving and Chapman won the 100 free in 1:04,72.
TJ 118, Kentlake 68
Thomas Jefferson got out of the gate against Kentlake quickly in a Tuesday, Oct. 17 victory.
The Raiders won the 200 medley relay in 2:05.22 and Williams put the 200 free in their camp with a time of 2:15.15.
Tavasci won the 200 IM in 2:35.12 and Bevers the 50 free in 27.72 and Bray scored 111.55 points to win diving. Klahn won the 100 fly in 1:13.34 and Amy Friedhoff won the 100 free in 58.26. TJ's LaBounty won the 500 free in 6:02.53 and the Raiders' 200 free relay team posted a win in 1:50.95. The Raiders also won the final 400 free relay in 4:03.95.
Beamer 139, Graham-Kapowsin 44
Todd Beamer opened the Tuesday, Oct. 17 action by winning the 200 medley relay in 2:05.59. Laurel MacLurg won the 200 free race in 2:17.28 and Madison Mayfield took the 200 IM in 2:35.95. Jessica Soria scored a victory in the 50 free in 26.85 and Laura Schrader won diving with 239.10 points. Kelly Erickson won the 100 fly in 1:06.50 and Jenelle Freeborn won the 100 free in 1:01.26. Eryn Murphy took the 500 free in 5:41.04 and Beamer won the 200 free relay in 1:54.49. Soria won the 100 back in 1:06.90 and Murphy took the 100 breast in 1:17.64. Beamer also won the 400 free relay in 4:28.12.

Kalyn Wilson recorded 15 kills and five blocks in the Tuesday, Oct. 17 action and Camille Miller had 13 kills.

The Eagles were swept aside by the Bears Tuesday, Oct. 17.

The Bears scored a 25-14, 25-23, 25-22 win over the Gators Thursday.
