A special wine event co-hosted by the owner of an award-winning Walla Walla winery was featured on Oct. 21 at Vino Bello Wine Bar in Burien.

R.G. Hess of Pepper Bridge Winery joined Vino Bello owner Michelle Smith in serving his award-winning wines at the tasting event in the recently opened shop at 636 S.W. 152nd St.

Pepper Bridge Winery was selected as an estate winery of the year by Wine & Spirits magazine in the fall buying guide.

ABC talk-show host Rachel Ray, formerly of the Food Channel, has described Pepper Bridge's cabernet as "like none I've tasted; the complex flavor lingers long after my first sip."
