In the 2800 block of Alki SW on Friday, a man tried to calm down his friend who, he claims, is mentally unstable. The friend began throwing punches, first with his fists and then with a folding knife. The suspect threw the knife into a nearby yard and was quickly apprehended by officers, who had to taser him when he resisted arrest. The police report that the suspect appeared _extremely affected by mental health problems or drugs/alcohol._ He was booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault. The victim was taken to Harborview and was treated for stab wounds to his upper chest, right ear, right thigh, and hand.
Dad has a drug problem that makes him violent and paranoid. (Police have visited the home three times already this year for domestic violence issues.) But mom now claims to be at her wit_s end: Dad came home early Friday and saw her in bed with someone, accused her of sleeping with another man and punched her in the face. The _other man_ turned out to be their children, who were snuggled in bed with mom. Dad was booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault.
Two black males in their 20s approached a man late Friday near the intersection of 14th S and S Concord. They demanded his wallet and jewelry and threatened him with a nine-millimeter handgun. They walked off northbound and remain at large. One was about 6 feet tall. The other was about 5'8' and had corn-rowed hair.
Thieves entered a parking garage in the 5900 block of California Avenue SW and broke into 13 vehicles early Sunday.
Working from a tip, an officer located a vehicle associated with a wanted felon and then found the man himself in a nearby Morgan Junction apartment. The suspect was arrested without incident and booked into King County Jail on two $100,000 warrants for forgery and narcotics.
Overnight Thursday, unknown persons stole $15,000 worth of tile, tools, and ladders from a North Admiral construction site.
An Hispanic teen with a husky build, black hooded sweatshirt and red bandanna robbed a Westwood-area convenience store around 9 p.m. Friday. He displayed a handgun in his waistband and ran westbound on SW Barton after taking money from the till.
A mom picked up her runaway daughter, who was being held in juvenile detention after being arrested for prostitution. The girl asked if they could stop at a West Seattle address to get her clothing and belongings. Mom agreed, but first had the girl hand over her shoes and cell phone (thinking this would keep her from running off) Unfortunately, it didn't do any good: The girl did not return to her mom's car and was last seen running westbound through an apartment complex in the 4800 block of Delridge Way.
