Naysayers are usually the folks who huddle together to voice their objections, and that is precisely what has happened in Burien with the anti-annexation folks.

I would like to reinforce the letter printed on Oct. 4, which said that this group does not speak for the majority of Burien. The majority is often silent, which is what compels me to say that as a resident of Seahurst in Burien, I also do not agree with the opposition to annexation.

We have elected officials who are evaluating the issue and I would hope that they are aware of this point of view.
