KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON

RESOLUTION NO. 2006-46

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SOUTHWEST SUBURBAN SEWER DISTRICT, KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON, ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETITION FOR ANNEXATION OF THE AREA REFERRED TO AS CORMODES AND ROBERTS OLYMPIC VIEW ANNEXATION; AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PETITION FOR ANNEXATION.

WHEREAS, the Southwest Suburban Sewer District Board of Commissioners acknowledges that it has received a petition for annexation of land to the District and that, according to the records of the King County Auditor, the petition was signed by the owners of not less than sixty percent (60%) of the area of land described in the petition; and

WHEREAS, the District has considered the petition and finds that it complies with the requirements of law; and

WHEREAS, the District desires that a public hearing be scheduled so that persons interested in the petition for annexation may appear before the Board of Commissioners to offer public comment on the petition; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Southwest Suburban Sewer District, King County, Washington, as follows:

1. The District has received a petition for annexation of land legally described in Exhibit "A" and depicted in Exhibit "B", both of which are attached and incorporated by this reference. The District has reviewed the petition for annexation and confirmed that, according to the records of the King County Auditor, the petition was signed by the owners of not less than sixty (60%) of the area of land described in the petition.

2. Based upon the Board of Commissioner's review of the petition for annexation and other information provided to the Board, the Board finds that the petition complies with the requirements of Chapter 57.24 RCW and other applicable law.

3. A public hearing on the petition for annexation shall be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2006, commencing at 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of taking public comments from persons interested in the petition for annexation.

4. The District staff is directed to cause notice of the hearing to be published and posted in the manner required by RCW 57.24.0700

ADOPTED by the Board of Commissioners of the Southwest Suburban Sewer District, King County, Washington, at an open public meeting held on this 7th day of November, 2006.
