A Seattle newspaper published an article headlined "Growing a Cash Crop." The article refereed to a farmer raising $34.5 million dollars to build a distillery to produce ethanol from corn in his home state of Iowa.
We have a cash crop that needs to be harvested in our own back yard, which is a proposed learning center called TAF (Technology Access Foundation) to be built in Lakewood Park North Highline Area.
What better cash crop than further educating the minds of our youth.
TAF is a 10-year-old organization that graduated 75 students last year and every one is going to college. That, we feel, is a tremendous accomplishment worth noting.
Problem: funding is needed by TAF to reach their goal to build this three story 20,000 square foot learning center. They have obtained half of their building funds, but area businesses and corporations need to step up to fund this Learning Center.
Why? Because their investment in this learning center will produce the educated talent that these business and corporations will require for their future needs.
