A & E Consultant and
Related Professional Services
Submittal Due Date: January 26, 2007
In accordance with RCW 39.80, Highline Public Schools, District No. 401 is generally announcing its requirements for consultants interested in providing architectural, engineering and related professional services during the 2007 calendar year.
One copy of the firm's qualifications should be submitted to: Andr/a S. Johnson, Interim Executive Director of Facilities Services, Highline Public Schools, District No. 401, 17810 8th Avenue South, Building A, Burien, Washington 98148-1788, by 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2007.
The scale, duration and number of projects are uncertain and the school district may or may not have a need for all services during the year. However, current planning includes the need for consultants to support small as well as large scale projects including maintenance, capital, major maintenance, emergency, renovation and improvement projects.
It is the intent of the Highline School District to contract with the specific disciplines for the following categories of work, and match the capacity and capability of the firm qualifications with the size and scope of the work.
All submittals will be categorized and kept on file for twelve months. The District will screen prospective firms from data provided under this announcement.
Successful applicants must comply with Highline School District indemnification and insurance requirements including General Liability, Automobile Liability and Professional Liability Insurance at limits acceptable to Highline School District.
Consultants who are interested in providing services to the District should submit (A) letter of interest and (B) one set of materials indicating areas of service and qualifications. Submittals are to include Standard Form 303 or *Standard Forms 254 and 255. (NOTE: *SF254 and SF255 were replaced with SF330 effective June 8, 2004.) . Consultants should submit for each category of interest and indicate the sub grouping.

1. Less than $50,000.00
2. $50,000.00 to less than $500,000.00
3. $500,000.00 to $1,500,000.00

C. Commissioning
D. Value Analysis
E. Constructability Review
F. Structural Engineering
G. Civil:
1. Site Planning
2. Geo Technical Services (i.e., soil characterization and bearing capacity)
3. Surveying (i.e., boundary and topographic surveys)
H. Environmental (including but not limited to hazardous material, underground storage tanks, indoor air quality, testing and sample analysis)
I. Moisture Protection:
1. Including, but not limited to roofing and painting inspections
J. Landscape Architecture, Arborist
J. Playfield:
1. Football/Baseball/Soccer Field (i.e. irrigation, design, etc.)
2. Track and Field Systems
K. Electrical:
1. Power/Lighting
2. Low Voltage (Fire alarms, Intercom/PA systems/clocks, media systems)
3. Telecommunications/data network
M. Mechanical:
1. HVAC
2. Control Systems (EMS)
