Highline School District No. 401 owns certain surplus real property including the former Riverton Heights Elementary School site which has been declared surplus. The site is located in SeaTac Washington at 3011 S. 148th Street (legal description below). The District proposes to sell the property. A public hearing regarding the sale will be held by the Highline School District No. 401 Board of Directors on January 24, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the following location: Madrona Elementary School at 20301 32nd Avenue South, SeaTac, Washington. The district will present information regarding the proposed sale and will accept public testimony offered for and against the property and advisability of the sale.

The proposed use of the property is to develop the site for public uses, including a fire station, fire training facility and neighborhood park.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION

The west half of Lot 1, all of Lot 2 and the east half of the Lot 3, Block 1, Knox's Five Acre Garden Tracts, according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume 7 of Plats, page 38, in King County, Washington;

EXCEPT the south 200 feet of Lot 1;

ALSO EXCEPT the south 242 feet of the west 102.93 feet of the east half of Lot 3;

ALSO EXCEPT the north 30 feet conveyed to King County for road purposes by instruments recorded under Recording Numbers 2969688, 2969695 and 2969696.
