Domestic dispute non-violent couple says

1. The residents of a home on the 2000 block of South 320th Street told police that their argument was not violent. Neighbors called the Federal Way police to report that the couple appeared to be fighting over a vehicle issue. The couple agreed with that statement, however, they insisted that the argument was verbal only and did not escalate to physical violence. Neither party showed any signs of physical injury, nor did they complain of any. Officers left a domestic violence pamphlet at the scene. The event took place around 2 a.m. on January 1.
New Year's party busted, toy gun not involved in fight
2. Federal Way police responded to a call that indicated a fight had broken out at a New Year's party at an apartment complex located at 33340 1st Lane South. The host of the party told police that two of the guests began fighting. A gun was reported at the scene, but the host said that it was only a toy and was not involved in the altercation. One of the suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival. The event took place around 2:45 a.m. on January 1.
Man tells police he was mugged and knocked unconscious
3. Officers responded to a report of a mugging that took place near 1900 South 288th Street around 4:45 a.m. on January 1. The suspects in the mugging were reported traveling eastbound on South 288th Street, and were not at the scene of the incident. Federal Way police contacted the victim, who stated that he was walking along South 288th Street in an attempt to catch the bus when he was "jumped" by a group of unnamed teenagers. He said he lost consciousness and did not remember much of the attack. He awoke and realized that his wallet was missing. An area check for the suspects turned up negative.
Tool thieves strike on New Year's Day
4. Federal Way officers arrived at the scene of a break-in and theft that took place sometime within the 48 hours prior to 4:12 a.m. on January 1. The police spoke to the victim, who lives in an apartment unit at 125 Southwest Campus Drive, and he stated that some unknown person or persons broke the passenger's side window of his vehicle and stole property from inside. The items stolen included thousands of dollars in tools, namely, a DeWalt tile saw, valued at $1,500, a grinder, valued at $700, and a $250 air compressor. There are no suspects or evidence, and officers have closed the case pending new leads.
Abuser nabbed after punching ex in the face
5. Federal Way plice arrived at a residence on the 28800 block of Pacific Highway South in response to a 911 call of a domestic assault. The victim told police that her ex-boyfriend assaulted her by punching her in the face. Officers arrested the suspect and remanded him to the Fife City Jail. The victim had an outstanding warrant for her arrest, which was confirmed by the Kent Police Department. Federal Way officers turned the victim over to the Kent PD for arrest. They also impounded the couple's White 1988 Cadillac. The incident took place around 4:45 a.m. on January 1.
Drugs found at the scene of a New Year's party
6. Federal Way police responded to a call from a Federal Way homeowner who reported that they found drugs at their residence after a party the night before. The caller lives on the 34100 block of 35th Avenue Southwest. The caller said that he threw a New Year's Eve party and found some possible drugs the morning after. The drugs were taken into evidence as found property. There is no suspect information or evidence, and officers have closed the case pending new leads.
Target store catches shoplifter in the act
7. Representatives from the Target store contacted Federal Way police to report that a juvenile entered the store, took merchandise, and left the scene without attempted to pay. The juvenile was arrested nearby without incident, and handed over to his parents from the Federal Way police mall substation. The merchandise, which carried a total value of $50.97 was recovered and returned to the Target store at 2201 South Commons. The incident took place around 2:40 p.m. on January 1.
Man gets violent with woman's taillight after argument
8. A woman who lives on the 30300 block of 15th Court South contacted Federal Way police to report $50 in damage to her taillight. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on January 1. The victim reported that she got into an argument with an unnamed male. As she backed away in her vehicle, the man punched her taillight, breaking it. The reported that she both heard and saw the man hit her car, but didn't notice the extent of the inflicted damage to her tan 1989 Chevrolet until she returned home. She heard that the man had sustained injury to his hand from the hit. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.
Drunk driver totals truck
9. Federal Way police responded to a report of an auto accident that occurred sometime on January 1. The unnamed suspect crashed his truck into a ditch. South King Fire and Rescue responded to the call and administered aid. The suspect was arrested for DUI and booked into the Fife Jail. The Fife Jail, however, refused him because of excessive alcohol. The suspect refused intox. The crash took place near 30800 8th Avenue Southwest.
Fight between sisters gets violent, involves police
10. Federal Way officers responded to a domestic disput call that had taken place shortly after midnight on December 31. The arrived at the scene, an apartment complex located at 2211 South Star Lake Road, and discovered that an argument and fight had taken place between two sisters. One of the girls was 16 and the other 11. The older sister assaulted the 11-year-old, leaving visible marks below one of her eyes and on her neck. Federal Way officers provided the family with a domestic violence pamphlet. The police also arrested the older sister and transported her to Juvenile Detention.
Missing person reported to police
11. The residents of an apartment unit located at 1400 South 348th Street contacted Federal Way police to report a missing person. The report indicated that one of the residents said the family was getting evicted and the missing person left to go ask his sisters for money, and if that didn't work, he was going to sell his truck. The sisters told the family that he did come by but they were unable to give him any money, but that he said he had later sold his truck and was coming home. The family told police that the missing person has brain cancer and lung problems and they are worried about what might have happened to him.
