Officers note that the would-be shooter-who smelled of alcohol and had glazed-over, bloodshot eyes - said he felt he had the right to pull a gun on someone in his own house. As they transported him to King County Jail for investigation of harassment, officers suggested that in the future he should call 911.

The residents had to call 911 from a cell phone, as someone had cut the incoming telephone line. It was apparent that the stranger had tried to break in through a basement window. Fingerprints were taken for analysis.
