An article in the March 28 edition erroneously stated that all northbound lanes of I-5 will be closed for a couple of weeks in August.
The repair work on the stretch of I-5 from Spokane Street northward to the I-90 interchange will be done between Aug. 10 and Aug. 29. At least two northbound lanes will remain open at all times. There will be no time during which all lanes will be closed.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane at night, when much of the work is to be done.
Some work also is planned for the southbound lanes of I-5. Repair work will be done on the southbound expansion joints before and after the most intense work on the northbound lanes is to be done in August. Work on the expansion joints is scheduled to begin this spring, although no contractor has been awarded the project yet.
