Federal Way opened the scoring in the Tuesday, April 17 game as Lalo Moralles struck in the fifth minute on a Tommy Osborn assist. Moralles then scored unassisted in the 10th minute and Andrew Hair scored in the 49th minute on a Kelyn Rowe assist.

Thomas Jefferson jumped back into it on an unassisted goal in the 60th minute on a D.J. DeWaele penalty kick. Christian Munoz answered for Federal Way in the 67th minute on an assist from Rowe, before TJ's Tyler Hanson got the last word in on a penalty kick in the 73rd minute.

Decatur 3, Kentlake 0

Jaycobe Waddle earned the shutout for the Gators in Tuesday, April 17 action. Jarod Johnson scored the only goal Decatur wound up needing on an unassisted play in the 12th minute and Dominick Dedaj struck unassisted in the 48th. Kentlake contributed an own goal in the 30th.

Beamer 6, Bethel 0

The Titans received a shutout from goalie T.J. Young on Tuesday, April 17. Sean Davis scored their first goal in the 10th minute on an unassisted play, then he assisted Dan Nam on a goal in the 15th. Davis was assisted by Erik Lissak in the 19th minute and Nam assisted Brennan Hall in the 36th. Davis scored on a Vinny Dom assist in the 49th and Nam scored on a Ricco Sanchez assist in the 63rd.

Baseball

Kentlake 9, Decatur 8

Brock Gates and Brady Kincannon both hit 2-for-4 with two runs for the Gators.

Federal Way 4, Kentwood 3

Donny McConnaughey won on the mound for the Eagles last Tuesday, April 17 with seven strikouts in seven innings.

Shane Elliott hit 1-for-3 with two RBI on a home run and Andy Racus hit 1-for-1.

Kentridge 8, TJ 6

Kylle Ashton and Jerry Burton both hit 1-for-3 with a home run for TJ, with Ashton hitting a solo shot in the first and Burton a two-run homer in the fourth.

Derek Voigt hit 2-for-2 with two doubles and one RBI.

Beamer 6, Rogers 4

Matt Hart was the winning pitcher for the Titans last Tuesday, April 17 and he also hit 2-for-4 with a triple and a double. Henry Apigo hit a solo home run in the fourth and Crumb hit 2-for-3 with a double, a triple and two RBI.

Federal Way 12, K-M 4

Shane Elliott hit 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI for the Eagles and Dustin Horsfall hit 2-for-4 with one home run. Andy Racus hit 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.

Jarred Lee threw until the fifth inning and earned the win.

Decatur 13, TJ 6

Decatur racked up seven runs in the bottom of the first to launch out on its way to victory Wednesday, April 18.

Brad Carter went the distance on the mound to win the game and also hit 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. John Giese hit 4-for-5 with three doubles and two RBI and Brady Kincannon 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. Brock Gates hit a three-run home run in the first.

Jerry Burton hit 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored for Thomas Jefferson and Sam Larsen hit 1-for-2 with two runs.

Beamer 9, Em. Ridge 3

Dustin Martin hit 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI for Todd Beamer and he also threw six innings on the mound with six strikeouts to win. Justin Lee had one RBI.

Kentwood outhit the Eagles, 12-4, in the Tuesday, April 17 action.

Kentlake 12, Decatur 2

Kentlake won on the 10-run rule in five innings of play Tuesday, April 17.

TJ 7, Kentridge 5

Jill Halvorsen was the winning pitcher for the Raiders last Tuesday, April 17. Jayme Carbon hit 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI and Erin Fujita hit 4-for-4 with a triple and two doubles.

Todd Beamer lost in five innings Tuesday, April 17.

TJ 4, Decatur 0

Jill Halvorsen and Brittany Still combined for a two-hit shutout last Wednesday, April 18, with Still striking out four in the final two innings.

TJ's Hannah Kiyohara hit 2-for-4 and Shawntay Thong 2-for-3. Jayme Carbon doubled.

Federal Way 5, K-M 0

Kiley Martin earned Federal Way's shutout against Kent-Meridian, striking out seven and giving up only four hits. Amanda Earlywine hit 2-for-4 for the Eagles in the Wednesday, April 18 action.

Kelly Calvin hit 2-for-3 with one RBI for Beamer in the loss and Sara Petosa also hit 2-for-3.

Tahoma 5, Decatur 4

It took 10 innings for Tahoma to tame Decatur Thursday.

Kelsey Disbrow of the Gators hit 1-for-2 with one RBI and Lindsey Bright hit 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.

Girls tennis

TJ 4, Federal Way 1

Jenny Fullmer of the Raiders won No. 1 singles last Tuesday, April 17 by a 6-4, 6-1 score and teammate Allie Guerrero took the No. 2 match, 6-4, 6-1.

Bree Rowe and Marisa Ventura gave the Eagles their only win, taking No. 1 doubles by a 6-3, 6-4 score.

Averi Kitsch and Caroline Min teamed up to win the No. 2 doubles match for the Raiders, 6-3, 6-1. Rebecca Bunting and Carli Kitsch of TJ took the No. 3 doubles match, 6-1, 6-2.

Kentwood 4, TJ 1

Brittany McKary and Kendall Swynenberg posted TJ's win in the No. 3 girls doubles match, 7-5, 6-2.

Beamer 4, Rogers 1

Judy Leining won the No. 1 singles match for the Raiders Thursday, 6-0, 6-1, and Sam Bowman and Melissa Canfield won the No. 1 doubles match, 6-2, 7-5. Ester Song and Brianne Elmquist won No. 2 doubles, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2, and Jessika Sutcliff and Sara Miller won No. 3 doubles, 6-1, 0-6, 6-4.

Federal Way 95, Decatur 41

Andrew Pula of the Eagles won the shot put at 45 feet, 7 inches Thursday and teammate Jeremiah Oliverez took the discus at 126-9. Greylin James cleared the high jump at 6-0 and Anthony Smith won the long jump at 19-11 1/2. Andrew Barrington won the triple jump at 39-7 1/4 and Viktor Gruy the pole vault at 13-9.

Gregory Highber won the 110 hurdles in 15.3 and Decatur's Devon Jones won the 300 hurdles in 42.0.

Decatur's Ezra John Griffey won the 100-meter dash in 10.7 seconds and also won the 200 in 22.2. Teammate Justin Englund won the 800 in 2:08 and the 1,600 in 4:50.2. Justin Helm took the 3,200 for the Gators in 11:26.1.

Federal Way won the 400 relay in 45.1 and the 1,600 relay in 3:39.8.

TJ 69, Kentlake 67

Thomas Jefferson edged out the Falcons by only two points Thursday.

Howard won the discus in 126-7 and Spenser took the high jump at 5-10. Merdich was the winner of the pole vault at 11.6 and Grepo won the 110 hurdles in 16.36. Penson took the 100 in 11:32 and the 200 in 23.06. Trisdale won the 400 in 52.93. TJ also won the 400 relay in 44.24 and the 1,600 relay in 3:36.47.

Girls track

Federal Way 92, Decatur 49

Samantha Willis of the Eagles won the shot put at 33-7 and Gena Woodke of the Gators took the discus at 122-7. Decatur's Amanda Stewart finished first in the high jump at 5-4 and Federal Way's Jacquie Evenson won the long jump at 15-11. Jordyn Woodke took the triple jump for Decatur at 35-8 1/2 and teammate Annamarie Anico won the pole vault at 7-6. Evenson of the Eagles won the 100 hurdles in 16.3 and the 300 hurdles in 48.7 and Decatur's Susan Kim won the 100-meter dash in 13.0 and the 200 in 26.8.

Ke'Anna Blackwell of Federal Way won the 400 in 1:05.6 and teammate Rose Habitamu took the 800 in 2:53.5. Carmen Acuna won the 1,600 in 6:16.6 and Habitamu took the 3,200 in 14:15.7. Federal Way won the 400 relay in 52.7 and the 1,600 relay in 4:30.2 and Decatur took the 800 relay in 1:51.8.

TJ 96, Kentlake 44

Malumura won the shot put at 36-7 1/2 for the Raiders and the discus at 118-2 1/2, and Wamsley won the high jump at 5-2 and the triple jump at 32-10. Colvin cleared 8-6 to win the pole vault and Cox won the 100 hurdles in 17.33 and the 300 hurdles in 49.85. Jurdy took the 400 in 1:04.64 and the 200 in 28.43 and Printz won the 100 in 12.7. Patrick won the 800 in 2:70.65. TJ took the 400 relay in 54.94 and the 800 relay in 1:55.29.
