Remme Wilson

September 20, 1925 - April 28, 2007. Gladys was born to Alf and Malena (Kjelsnes) Remme in Mohler, Wash. Her family soon moved to Ballard where she lived for many years and was a graduate of Ballard High class of 1943. She married her high school sweetheart, Russell Wilson, in 1944 and they enjoyed 63 loving years together.

They moved to California where they started the family that Gladys loved and cherished. She was a loving homemaker to her husband and three children with a passion for sewing, gardening and spending time with her family.

After raising her family she and Russ returned home to the Seattle area, moving to Kirkland where they have lived for the past 32 years. Throughout her life Gladys gave unselfishly and lovingly to her husband, children and their families. She was a devoted wife, an adoring mother, and a wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother.

Gladys is survived by her beloved husband Russ, her daughters Corky Wilson (Kim) Bellevue; and Pam Wilson (Seattle); her son Mike Wilson (Teresa), Tulsa, OK; her seven grandchildren, Myken Wilson-Nunes, Joel Wilson, Josh Walters, Melena Waits, Jesse Walters, Robb Wilson and Jill Davis. She also leaves 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart along with her sisters, Margaret Klein and Anna Jaffe and her brother, Robert Remme all of the Greater Seattle area. Her brothers John and Alf Remme preceded her in death.

Gladys was dearly loved and cherished and truly an inspiration to her whole family. She will be deeply missed and forever be in our hearts. Memorial services were held May 3 at Sunset Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Bellevue.
