The North Highline Unincorporated Area Council's annual elections will be conducted Thursday, May 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mount View Elementary School, 10811 12th Ave. S.W., in White Center.
Voting is open to all residents and business/property owners of the unincorporated area.

The council consists of 13 members who represent residents and business/property owners of the North Highline unincorporated area in dealings with King County government.
One item of particular interest is the proposed annexation of North Highline by Burien or Seattle.
The council also deals with zoning, parks, human services, surface water management, and roads/safety projects.
It includes White Center, Shorewood, Salmon Creek, Top Hat, Beverly Park, Boulevard Park, South Park, Glendale, and Riverton Heights communities.
The area is divided into four districts with two representatives from each district. In addition, five members serve as at-large representatives.
