We want to say thank you to Shing and Ellie Chin, owners of Ovio Bistro for their tremendous commitment to the West Seattle community over the last five years.

When the doors close at the end of the month, they will leave a huge hole in our community. They may be known for their amazing fried chicken, spectacular wine list and becoming our first destination restaurant, but they should be remembered for their contribution to the West Seattle community. Shing and Ellie donated their personal time, energy and talents to support emergency aid to members of our community who find themselves in need by actively participating in, and sponsoring the West Seattle Helpline annual events over the last three years.

They helped drive change in the junction, and became critical to the foundation of the neighborhood. Thanks to both of you for all that you've done; you will be missed! I look forward to some amazing meals over the next two weeks!
