After 15 years the West Seattle Helpline moved its office out of the Junction. It's a good move. We've moved to the new Community Resource Center at the corner of 35th and Morgan. We'll be together with other social service agencies enabling us to better serve our community in need. Like I said, it's a good move.
But it's hard moving away from the West Seattle Junction business community. Besides running to Capers for a latte or giving our friends at Jan's Beauty Supply a package to hold for a client, all of the business owners (past and present) in the Junction have opened their arms and their pocketbooks to benefit the West Seattle Helpline. They have donated their time and put their money where their community-minded mouths are and it has been an absolute pleasure and honor to have been a welcomed part of the neighborhood. Thank you. Thank you West Seattle Junction.
We promise to stop by often. After all, we wouldn't want to deny you the opportunity to keep giving to one of West Seattle's very own social service agencies and anyhow, the volunteers and I will miss you all.
