Junction missed opportunity

Sir, how can this be a tight-knit community if you try to suggest an idea to the council and then when you try to follow up on your idea you are lied to and proverbially swept under the rug?
Let me go into some detail. I have a classic car that I show at car shows like the Alki car show. Back in a August I talked to Lora, the owner of Hotwire Coffee. I believe she is V.P. of the West Seattle Junction Association council.
I asked her what she thought of the idea about the Junction having its own car show. I said it could be done rather cheap and bring in extra revenue to Junction shops. She thought it was great idea. She told me to get in touch with Dave at West 5 as he was the president of council.
I did and we met at his restaurant. He thought it was great idea idea, too. I gave him about a six- or seven-page breakdown of what was needed for a good car show, of which I got from a friend that puts on a car show in Everett that draws about 600-plus cars. He said he would take the idea to council and he would let me know when (it was) meeting so I could help in informing the rest of the council.
A couple weeks went by and I called Dave (and) he said he lost my contact info and the meeting was that week and still no call. I called Dave again and he said he lost my info again but the idea was approved. He said he would be in touch to set up committee and he wanted me to be part of it.
I called and left a couple messages about two advertising deadlines that we should try and make for car show date and name. No call - imagine that?
At this point I figured why waste anymore of my time trying to do something for community or Junction business.
About three weeks ago I ran into Lora again and she asked if we could still have a car show this year. I explained that, like me and hundreds of other hot rod owners, we by this time have already made plans to do various other shows. She said the person who was handling the car show had dropped the ball and I explained I would be more than happy to get planning for next year.
Last week the wife said, did you see the flyer for the SummerFest. It says car show, too. Well I contacted Lora via e-mail and to my amazement Dave answers via e-mail saying that he didn't know if I was still interested in helping with car show. He said I should contact someone named Oliver and that he was in charge of that. I did twice and we talked. Twice was because I had to call him back - he got too busy. Since then no word from anybody.
He also said it was just going to be the Rat City Roller Girls' boyfriends and friends cars.
I was dumfounded. The Rat City girls represent White Center, not the Junction, don't they?
What is with the council? I am a very disappointed member of the community to know if you take an idea to the people that are supposed to do good for the area to me it seems like they want to steal other people's ideas and pat themselves on the back.
If this is the honesty and integrity of the council the Junction is doomed.
