On August 1, 2007, at approximately 8:31 PM, officers were dispatched to a shooting located at the Steel Lake Park on the 30800 block of Pacific Highway South in Federal Way.
When officers arrived on scene they discovered a victim, a white male, 16 years-old, suffering from a single gunshot wound as a result of this incident. The victim was treated at the scene by South King Fire & Rescue Medics and transported to Auburn General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A second victim, a white female, 15 years-old, suffering from a single gunshot wound was discovered at the US Bank on the 31200 block of Pacific Highway South. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical with life-threatening injuries.
At the time of this release, the female victim has been reported to be in stable condition.
Federal Way Patrol Officers responded and immediately established a perimeter of the area.
The Federal Way Criminal Investigation Section responded and are thoroughly canvassing the area, contacting witnesses, as well as processing the crime scene. Motive for this shooting is still under investigation. All suspects are still at large.
At approximately 8:36 PM, officers were dispatched to a second shooting located on the 30400 block of Pacific Highway South in Federal Way. Preliminary Investigation resulted in an illegal discharge that revealed no injuries and no property damage. Motive for this shooting is still under investigation. All suspects are still at large.
At approximately 8:38 PM, officers were dispatched to a shooting located on the 30700 block of 12th Place Southwest in Federal Way.
When officers arrived on scene they discovered shots were fired into a residence and at a vehicle.
Investigation revealed property damage as a result of this shooting and there were no injuries. Motive for this shooting is still under investigation. All suspects are still at large.
