Hendricks, AKA Peanut, wanted in connection with Steel Lake shooting
Federal Way police continue to search for a missing suspect in a string of shootings that spanned several blocks of the Steel Lake Park area.
The department has issued a plea to the citizens of Federal Way to help them locate Christopher Diandre Hendricks, 22, a black male who witnesses reported brandishing a firearm near the scene.
Hendricks is a large man, 6' 0" tall and weighing 300 pounds, and Federal Way police consider him armed and dangerous.
The suspect is wanted in connection with a Federal Way Assault 1 case that took place around 8 p.m. on August 1.
According to a department press release, Hendricks was involved in an altercation at Steel Lake Park, in Federal Way. During this time Hendricks was observed carrying a firearm.
As he left the area Hendricks repeatedly discharged the firearm out of the rear window of an older maroon colored Chevrolet Astro Van or Dodge Caravan style vehicle.
Two victims were subsequently shot resulting in both being hospitalized. One of the victims, a 16-year-old female, remains in the hospital with serious injuries. The second victim, a 16-year-old male was treated and released with minor injuries.
