Washington State Ferries asks that travelers allow for extra time over the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend.
The heaviest backups and overloading are anticipated 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31 on westbound routes.
Return traffic is anticipated to be heaviest Sunday, Sept. 2 afternoon and evening. Morning sailings on Labor Day, Sept. 3 will be heavy too as people head home to prepare their children for the first day of school.
Washington State Ferries will be providing the following service for this holiday:
- Anacortes/San Juan Islands: Regular weekday schedule
- Port Townsend/Keystone: Regular weekday schedule
- Mukilteo/Clinton: Regular weekday schedule
- Edmonds/Kingston: Regular weekday schedule
- Seattle/Bainbridge: Holiday schedule
- Seattle/Bremerton: Regular weekday schedule
- Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth: Holiday schedule
- Point Defiance/Tahlequah: Holiday schedule
- Seattle/Vashon Passenger-Only: Not in service on holiday
