Grace Lutheran Church in Des Moines will host the seventh annual Political Will to End Homelessness Conference on Tuesday, Sept. 18.
The conference will focus on the disproportion of poverty and homelessness in south King County.
Sponsors are the Interfaith Task Force on Homelessness-Church Council of Greater Seattle and the Archdiocesan Housing Authority.
Workshops will include: Homelessness 101; Current 10-Year-Plan to End Homelessness Initiatives; Gentrification, Loss and the Housing Crisis; South County Focus; The Color of Homelessness: Disproportionality; Wages, Jobs, and Affordable Housing; and Faith Community Strategies.
The day-long conference will begin at 10 a.m. at the church at 22975 24th Ave S.
There is a $25 donation for attending, and scholarships are available.
