Han Woo-Ri, the Northwest Korean Sports and Cultural Festival featuring all things Korean will take place this month, September 21 to 23, in Federal Way.
The third annual festival will include contemporary and traditional performing arts, exhibits, sports, games, and food. This year's theme centers on technology and youth, key elements of the new "Korean Wave". The dates coincide with Chusok, the Korean harvest festival.
The Han Woo-Ri Festival was created by city officials and business leaders to showcase Korean culture in the Pacific Northwest, providing opportunities for education and entertainment, and strengthening understanding and appreciation of Korean culture. The presenting sponsor of this year's Festival is Wal-Mart, joined by the City of Federal Way, Pal-do World Grocery Stores, American Family Insurance, Armstrong Homecare, Korean Airlines, The Commons, Gateway Center Shops, Verizon, and King County.
