Man busted for snorting cocaine in parking lot

1. Federal Way police spotted an unnamed man sitting in his vehicle in the Cafe Arizona parking lot. The man appeared to be sniffing a white powdery substance that officers believed to be cocaine. The incident took place around 2:30 a.m. on September 3. The Cafe Arizona parking lot is located at 2012 South 320th Street. Officers confronted the man, and when they looked into his vehicle, they discovered a plastic baggie with white powder inside of it. The Federal Way officers decided to search his person, whereupon they located more white powder. The suspect was interviewed and released from station. The man was driving a black 1997 Volkswagen.

2. Around 11 a.m. on September 3, Federal Way officers conducted a routine traffic stop near 33400 1st Avenue South. The unnamed suspect was driving a white 2002 Dodge with Washington plates. When Federal Way police obtained the drivers identification, they determined that he was committing a driving with a suspended license violation. The suspect was cited and released. When acquiring the driver's information, it was discovered that the suspect had an outstanding warrant out of Kent. After confirming the warrant with the Kent Police Department, the suspect was arrested and taken into custody. Federal Way officers attempted to set up a warrant exchange with the Kent PD, but the Kent PD declined because the report states they had no more room in their jail.

3. Federal Way police responded to a call regarding a runaway juvenile who had allegedly fled to Federal Way from Kent. The police received a tip that the juvenile might be hiding at a friend's house on the 5200 block of Southwest Dash Point Road. Officers arrived at the scene to confront the missing peron's friend. The friend led Federal Way police to the backyard of the residence, where they located the juvenile runaway. After running the boy through the missing persons system, officers received a hit and a positive identification. They took the boy into custody and transported him to his house in Kent without incident. Federal Way officers then removed his missing persons information from the records.

4. Federal Way police followed up on a report of shoplifting that had taken place at the Sears store, located at 1701 South Commons. According to the report, two unnamed juvenile suspects took merchandise into a fitting room. The two then concealed the merchandise into a Ross shopping bag. Loss prevention specialists from Sears confronted the two juveniles outside the store when the two tried to leave without paying for the merchandise. Representatives of the Sears department store decided to charge the two suspects with theft in the third degree. Another unnamed person arrived at the scene and picked up the two juveniles. The Sears store put a value on the merchandise at $180. The two juveniles were subsequently tresspassed off mall property and released to the unnamed person.

5. Federal Way officers followed up on a 911 call originating from a house on the 31300 block of 31st Avenue Southwest. The incident took place around 8:30 p.m. on September 3. When they arrived at the scene, officers discovered that an unmarried couple live together at the location. According to the report, the two were previously involved in a verbal argument that had turned physical. The woman told Federal Way police that she was pushed by the man. The man complained that she had hit him with a shoe. Neither party had any visible injuries and neither complained of pain. The man decided that he would leave the residence for the night. Federal Way officers could not determine any signs of domestic violence and neither person reported any.

6. Federal Way police followed up on a 911 call that came from a residence on the 28500 block of 24th Avenue South. The incident took place around 10:30 p.m. on September 3. When officers arrived at the scene, they met with the female victim, who stated that her ex-boyfriend was at her house and was acting hostile and being argumentative. The investigation at the scene revealed that no assault occurred at that time, but officers determined that there is a definite history of violence between the victim and the suspect. The case is currently being investigated by the FWPD. The report states that both parites are separated and do not currently live together. No other information is listed in the report.
