Girls swimming
All-City meet
The four swimming and diving teams in the Federal Way area competed against each other in an "all-city" meet Tuesday, Sept. 11.
Thomas Jefferson scored 142 points to win the meet, with Todd Beamer scoring 126 for second, Decatur 83 for third and Federal Way 81 for fourth.
Beamer opened the meet by winning the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1 minute, 55.97 seconds.
TJ's Amy Friedhoff then took the 200 freestyle in 2:00.69 and Decatur's Katie Matulic won the 200 individual medley in 2:14.08.
Briley Boggs won the 50 free for the Gators in 25.62 and Laura Schrader of Beamer scored 161.66 points to win diving.
Boggs also won the 100 butterfly in 1:00.45 and Friedhoff won the 100 free in 55.07.
Kelsey Crowder of Decatur won the 500 free in 5:36.99 and Todd Beamer won the 200 free relay in 1:48.07.
Rachel Kim of Beamer won the 100 backstroke in 1:02.10 and Decatur's Matulic took the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.94.
TJ's Raiders topped off the meet by winning the 400 free relay in a time of 3:58.28.

Federal Way 3, TJ 2
Joe Lee of TJ won the No. 1 singles match by a 6-3, 7-6 (9-7) score and Jesse Johnson of Federal Way won the No. 2 singles match, 3-6, 6-1, 6-1.
The Eagles' Max Ward and Brian Shaw won the No. 1 doubles match by a 2-6, 7-5, 7-5 score and TJ's Derek Moore and Brandyn Gomez won No. 2 doubles, 6-4, 7-5.
Sam Conklin and Brad Lewis of Federal Way won the No. 3 singles match, 2-6, 7-5, 6-3.
Boys golf
Beamer 81, K-M 37
Broc Johnson won medalist honors with a score of 37 Tuesday, Sept. 11 with teammates Tyler Collins and Jung Shin tying for second with rounds of 38.
Curtis 104, TJ 90
Kramer Thompson took fourth for TJ with a round of 36 and Charles Lee was fifth with a 37.
Girls golf
Decatur 35, Federal Way 25
Stacey Blunt led Decatur to victory with a round of 43 last Tuesday, Sept. 11. Pichy Promsitat of Federal Way came in second with a 58 and Decatur's Chanel Carlson placed third with a 61.
TJ 74, Curtis 33
Courtney Tappon of Thomas Jefferson took first place with a score of 23 points Tuesday, Sept. 11 and teammate Jayme Carbon placed second with 19.
Volleyball
K-M 3, Federal Way 1
Federal Way fell to the Royals by a 25-17, 16-25, 10-25, 18-25 score Tuesday, Sept. 11. Paulina McKenna had four blocks for the Eagles.
Kentlake 3, TJ 0
The Raiders came up short in the Tuesday, Sept. 11 match by a 25-12, 25-10, 25-17 score. Rachelle Eckert recorded four blocks, Val Voellger five kills and Nyssa Norda had three aces.
Kentridge 3, Decatur 0
Kentridge dealt Decatur a 25-13, 25-6, 25-12 loss Tuesday, Sept. 11. Mindy O'Meara had 10 assists, TC Colon five kills and Whitney Iwasaki 11 digs.
Puyallup 3, Beamer 0
The Titans were defeated by the Vikings on Tuesday, Sept. 11.
Kentlake 3, Federal Way 0
The Kentlake Falcons swept in to score a 25-4, 25-5, 25-9 win over the Eagles Thursday.
TJ 3, Kent-Meridian 1
The Raiders routed the Royals Thursday, 17-25, 25-15, 25-23, 26-24.
Justine Beer racked up 49 assists for TJ and Rachelle Eckert had 10 kills. Nyssa Houda scored five aces and Lauren Stark 11 digs.
Rogers 3, Todd Beamer 0
Rogers rallied for a 25-9, 25-12, 25-19 win over the Titans Thursday. Mackenzie Goff had six kills and eight digs and Kalyn Wilson eight kills.
Girls soccer
Decatur 6, K-M 1
Jennifer Knesta scored the first and second goals for the Gators last Tuesday, Sept. 11 with the second coming on a Carissa Frazier assist. Jenna Peterson was assisted by Sarah Isaac and Krystal Arredondo scored a goal before turning around and assisting Laura Bressler on a goal. Isaac scored the final Gator goal.

The Raiders played the Chargers to a scoreless tie in Tuesday, Sept. 11 action.
Beamer 4, Curtis 0
Maia Kurnik earned the shutout on goal for the Titans in their Tuesday, Sept. 11 victory. All of the Beamer goals were unassisted, with Megan Miller scoring two, Nicole Peterson one and Brittany Orr one.
Kentwood 4, Federal Way 1
Alleah Pac scored the Eagles' only goal in the Tuesday, Sept. 11 loss.
Kentlake 3, Decatur 2
Sarah Isaac scored on a Laura Bressler assist in the 31st minute action Thursday and Bressler struck on a Krystal Arredondo assist.
Football
Kent-Meridian 41, TJ 21
Thomas Jefferson showed off its sharp pass connection for two of the three touchdowns the Raiders scored Thursday, but they took a loss on the final scoreboard.
Kent-Meridian led, 28-6, at halftime of the action at French Field, with TJ's first touchdown coming in the second quarter.
Bryant Cameron snagged a 16-yard touchdown pass connection from Taylor Stark but the kick for the conversion point failed.
The same connecting came through with a touchdown in the third quarter. Cameron caught a 28-yard touchdown pass from Stark, and Stark also threw to Cameron for the two-point conversion.
The Royals scored 13 points in the third quarter to bring the score to 41-14, but the Raiders scored the only touchdown of the fourth quarter.
Trent Pinson ran 75 yards for a touchdown and Eric Harshfield kicked the extra point to cut the margin to 41-21.
