Christopher Diandre Hendricks was apprehended by FWPD in connection with two shootings on August 1.
The nearly two-month-long search for suspect Christopher D. Hendricks finally
ended on Wednesday, September 26, at approximately 5:00 a.m., when King County Sheriffs deputies apprehended him in Burien.
Hendricks was sought by the Federal Way Police for his suspected involvement in a shooting that took place at Steel Lake Park on August 1.
The shooting resulted in the injury of two female victims, one of which is still hospitalized from the incident.
Suspect Hendricks has been at large until Federal Way Police Detectives received a phone call by the King County Sheriffs Office stating Hendricks was in custody and housed at the King County Juvenile Detention Center.
Hendricks was taken into custody when deputies apprehended him at a motel in Burien.
The report does not indicate how or why Hendricks was apprehended at the Burien motel.
Hendricks was transferred from the juvenile detention center to the Regional Justice Center in Seattle.
Representatives from the Federal Way Police Department indicated Hendricks could face charges for two counts of Drive by Shooting.
The following report of the incident was issued shortly after the shooting two months ago.
Hendricks is wanted in connection with a Federal Way Assault 1 case.
On 08-01-07 at 2031 hours, Hendricks was involved in an altercation at Steel Lake Park, in Federal Way.
During this time Hendricks was observed carrying a firearm.
As he left the area Hendricks repeatedly discharged the firearm out of the rear window of an older maroon colored Chevrolet Astro Van or Dodge Caravan style vehicle.
Two victims were subsequently shot resulting in both being hospitalized.
One of the victims, a sixteen year old female, remains in the hospital with serious injuries.
The second victim, a 16 year old male was treated and released with minor injuries.
