For the past several weeks the co-editors of this paper have blathered on, touting the partisanship of their individual political beliefs and that of the political parties they support. A pox on both their houses.
Their mindless adherence to their respective party lines serves no one, least of all the readers of the Highline Times. There are far too many local and regional issues that are more worthy of comment than this endless bashing by either side that passes for politics these days.
Why don't we hear cogent comment on the ineptitude that resulted in the city of Burien's $10 million dollar judgment? Why no comment on the endless construction delays in the area and the inability of the city to effectively manage those projects? Why no comment on the loss of the businesses affected by the construction? Why no real comment on the potential annexation of North Highline?
Do some real investigation. Get some facts. Tell us what you think. Write meaningful opinion. Give the reader things to think about and discuss. More importantly stop the political party claptrap. We get enough of that from the larger market entities.
