Team barely misses state

The Ballard Beavers volleyball team narrowly missed the state playoffs after being eliminated from the KingCo Tournament.
Ballard faced a loser out game on Nov. 1 against Inglemoor and lost 3-1. Katie Miller's 15 kills with ten digs and Molly Moore's 15 kills were not enough to keep the Beavers alive in the playoff run. Clare Murphy added 28 assists and Risha Shildkraut had 24 digs.
The Beavers finished in fourth place this season and that was good enough to ensure them a high seed in the KingCo Tournament, matching them against the Roosevelt Roughriders, rather than top seed Woodinville to open the tournament. Ballard lost to Roosevelt 2-3 and then beat Juanita 3-1. Teams must win two games to advance or lose two games to drop out.
Ballard concludes the season with a 10-8 record.
The graduating seniors are Seniors Katie Miller Mollie Moore, Risha Schildkraut, Maggie Black, Julia Canty and Mallory Lemafa.
