The letter of Nov 14, captioned "Sly union edit," was an interesting study. Its writer strikes out firstly against the proletariat (shameful "power grab for the Service Employees International Union"), secondly against the bourgeoisie ("It's time that Seattle's upper class is forced [to fund] this city's services. It is ... clear that a ... luxury tax is the next logical step for King County..."), and thirdly against the very hand that feeds him, King County, by decrying the about-to-be-enacted increase in the "onerous" local sales tax.
In going to bat for his elite clientele (the homeless, the "poorest of Seattle's poor"), he has managed to take a swing at every segment of productive society.
Three strikes. You're out.
