Highline Medical Center recently donated more than 1,800 old scrub suits, over 4,000 pounds of linen and 30 linen carts to World Vision.
The scrubs will be used as part of World Vision's international outreach efforts, while the linens will help residents of Southern California who lost everything in last month's wildfires.
The linen carts will be used locally for distribution of back-to-school backpacks for children and gifts during the holidays.
While these items were no longer usable at Highline, they still will help those in need.
World Vision is a Federal Way-based relief and development organization dedicated to helping children and their communities worldwide reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty.
