I agree with Michael Quinn that it is hypocritical of the agency to ask landlords to accept people with more difficult (criminal history) backgrounds while the Seattle Housing Authority retains more stringent standards for its own buildings.
Why should their buildings be any different? The standards should be the same. Of course, expecting the agency to actually walk the talk is expecting too much.
Perhaps it is King County (Housing Authority) that is too loose with their standards and our taxpayers money?
