August 3, 1910 - February 9, 2008
Dorothy Elizabeth Evans was born in 1910 in St. Joseph, Missouri. She went peacefully to be with her Lord on February 9, 2008. Having lived in the Federal Way area for 27 years, she moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and resided there for 16 years. She then moved back 'home' to be near her family in 1990. She was preceded in death by her husbands Frank Estergren, and Harris Evans, respectively and her daughter, Mary Ann Schmidt. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Barbara Estergren Williamson, her two sons-in-law, Bob Schmidt and Russ Williamson, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Making and collecting dolls, half dolls, knitting, crocheting and gardening were among her many interests. Dorothy served as President of the Women's Association, Youth Group Advisor, Chairman of Outreach and Elder at the Steel Lake Presbyterian Church.
In 1968, Dorothy graduated from the Green River Community College School of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse. This was a life long dream of hers, finally fulfilled after she met her other family responsibilities. She loved to spend time with her family and she will be truly missed by all of us. The family wishes to extend their gratitude for all of your love and support.
Memorial services will be held at Bible Fellowship, 1336, So. 336th Street, Federal Way, on Saturday, February 23rd 2008 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, Dorothy has requested that donations be made to Gideon's International, Kent Camp P.O. Box 1693 Kent, Washington 98035, a Bible Distribution Association.
