In a public location and in front of their children, a man grabbed his estranged wife by the throat, shoved her against a fence and yelled, "I'm going to kill you." A family member intervened, but as the woman and children walked home, Dad followed, rang the doorbell and yelled, "Don't leave your house or I'm going to kill you." The suspect's version of the story was quite different: he stated his wife was simply jealous of his new girlfriend and that he had been the victim of the attack. He was booked into King County Jail for investigation of felony DV assault.
At a local private school, $2,300 earned through fundraising events was stolen from a drawer in the school office.
A local 16-year-old was arrested after witnesses called in a report of two teens possibly dealing drugs on school grounds in the High Point area. Officers stopped him for questioning and discovered that he was carrying marijuana packaged for individual sale.
In what is considered an ongoing problem in the neighborhood, two teens were spotted on the roof of an Alki-area home toting pellet guns or airsoft guns. Car windshields have been broken nearby. The teens did not answer the door to officers? knocks.
After an evening of drinking, some friends returned to an apartment for some pizza. One of the friends went into the bathroom for a bit. When he came out, he sat down, passed out, and stopped breathing. The friends started CPR, which was taken over by medics. The man came to but was uncooperative and unable to understand what had happened to him, although medics recited the story 10-12 times. He did not want to go the hospital but was committed involuntarily.
Officers ran a license plate through the computer and found that they were following a stolen car. They pulled the vehicle over and immediately recognized the driver: They had arrested him a few weeks earlier for auto theft. He was once again booked into King County Jail for investigation.
In a South Park incident, a computer check showed that although a car was not stolen, its registered owner (who was, indeed, the driver) was wanted on a $20,000 warrant. Before being booked she denied that she was carrying any drugs, but a pre-booking search recovered a bag full of vicodin, a bag of Ritalin, a bag of Hydrocodone, and a small amount of marijuana.
