Libby and I were so sorry to hear about the death of Tim St. Clair. While we know it was not unexpected, the loss hurts no less.
I recently sustained a leg injury which prevented us from attending the memorial service last night, even though it was very close to where we live, but we wanted you to know Libby and I hold all of you in our hearts and prayers during this time.
Since we only met Tim on a few occasions, I cannot say we knew him very well. We were, however, as impressed with his sense of humanity as we suspect most people were, and the support he, and others of your staff, have given the statue project helped materially to bring this project to the success it has been to date.
Since we have raised more than the amount the city said was required by Jan. 15 of this year, we can only assume the celebration of the new plaza will take place later this year. On that day, I know Tim will be looking on from a better vantage point, and I know he will be smiling as he watches so many of his friends celebrate this addition to the area, and the people, he obviously loved and served so well.
Bless you all,
Paul and Libby Carr
