It has been a year of service to people who are blind or disabled. Thanks to the volunteers, donors, clients and the part-time staff of Tape Ministries Northwest, it was another great year in 2007.
Over 25,000 Christian books, magazines (Decision) periodicals (Our Daily Bread) on tape were sent out to those who cannot read because of a disability in 48 states and Canada.
Sixty volunteers donated 3,440 hours of service equaling 1.7 full-time staff.
Special thanks go to the founding church of TMNW, Normandy Park Presbyterian Church, and to the late Crystal and Sid Bullis who started the ministry 27 years ago in the basement of their Des Moines home.
Another bravo to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in SeaTac for the donation of their parsonage for our offices, an annual value of $60,000.
We would have paid $102,000 in postage. Thanks to a grant from The Library of Congress, $88,000 of that was paid!
There is so much to be thankful for. The Highline Times that publishes our needs. It's great to have a hometown newspaper.
Most of all we thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for His blessings.
