Beastly weather endured by Burienites in the vestiges of March was not enough to deter these Spring flowers growing heartily in their planter beds at 148th and 1st S. this week. Photo by Jerry Robinson
With temperatures hovering just above freezing this week, Burien residents were treated to a series of low pressure systems off the coast, bringing plenty of rain to match the colder air. Downtown Burien saw plenty of the white stuff, some sticking enough to form cool blankets on the windshields at the car lots. Along 148th St, near the intersection with 1st Ave S. some recently planted flowers stood their ground against this unseasonable weather.
