Port of Seattle CEO Tay Yoshitani has named Joe McWilliams as managing director of real estate and property management.
McWilliams has over 15 years of experience in the Seattle real estate market. During his career he has served in leadership positions at Cushman and Wakefield, Wright Runstad and Company, and the Seattle Monorail Project. He currently serves as southwest regional manager for Pharos Corporation, a commercial real estate firm based in Austin. McWilliams brings an impressive array of skills to his new position, with experience in strategic development, lease negotiations and property acquisition for both public and private enterprises.
"Joe is an excellent choice to lead the Real Estate division," Yoshitani said. "I believe that his experience in every area of real estate development combined with his familiarity with our region makes him the right person to oversee Fishermen's Terminal, our marinas, and other areas of our operations that are vital to our future."
McWilliams will lead a new division created earlier this year by Yoshitani. In his role, he will be responsible for oversight and development of Port facilities and properties not directly associated with airport, cargo or cruise operations. He will serve as a member of the Port's Executive Team and report directly to the CEO.
McWilliams joined the Port on Feb. 28.
