Brian Alexander struck out 13 in going the seven-inning distance for the Rams last Monday.

Gio Bonifacio hit a two-run home run in the sixth as Andrew Larsen-Pulver hit 2-for-4, Josh Kutz 2-for-3 and Sean Narby hit a home run.

Fastpitch

Kennedy 9, Mt. Rainier 2

Brittany Copenhaver hit 2-for-3 with one RBI and Ashley Messmer tripled for the Rams.

For JFK, Lindsy Dugan hit 3-for-4 with two RBI, Karli Merlich 2-for-2 with two RBI at the plate and 12 strikeouts in winning on the mound and Maggie Whaley had two RBI.

Hazen 12, Evergreen 3

The Highlanders downed the Wolverines last Monday.

Tuesday, April 1

Baseball

Highline 9, Kennedy 6

Hayden Rovegno won in relief for the Pirates last Tuesday, and teammate Ryan Brett hit 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in the fourth.

Brandon Johnson of Kennedy hit a two-run home run in the third as Josh Kutz hit two doubles and Sean Narby hit one double.

Hazen 10, Tyee 0

The Totems were shut out in three hits last Tuesday.

Evegreen 11, Renton 5

Graham hit 4-for-4 and Romine 3-for-4 for Evergreen against Renton.

Foster 4, Eatonville 4

Last Tuesday's game has yet to be completed. Ethan Jones leads the hitters by going 2-for-5 with a double.

Eatonville 5, Foster 0

Foster was shut out on five hits, with Jones hitting two of those in a 2-for-3 evening.

SCS 12, Life Chr. 2

Eric Bateman won on a complete game for the Warriors last Tuesday and Eric Cross blasted a grand slam home run to lead the hitters.

Andy Lessig hit 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI and Dustin Shires hit 2-for-4.

Kennedy 18, Highline 0

Jessica Lewis did double duty for the Lancers last Tuesday. She hit 3-for-4 with two doubles and a triple and also threw a five-inning no-hitter with 10 strikeouts. Kelsey Trautmann hit 3-for-5 with a double and one RBI.

Mt. Rainier 15, Lindbergh 4

Kelly MacDonald fired a three-hit, complete game win for the Rams last Tuesday. Ashley Messmer hit for the cycle (a home run, a triple, a double and a single) while going 4-for-4 with three runs and six RBI.

Shelby Klein also hit 4-for-4 with two triples, one home run, three runs scored and four RBI. Sarah Martinez hit 3-for-4 and scored three runs.

Boys soccer

Kennedy 6, Renton 0

Sean Miller and Thomas Morrell shared the shutout last Tuesday, and Rudishi Muschette scored the Lancers' first goal on a Vincent McCluskey assist.

McCluskey scored on a Malone Utley assist, then struck again on a Jeff Piaquadio assist. Dawit Kalete scored on another Piaquadio assist and Utley assisted Cameron Woodcock on the final goal.

Highline 6, Lindbergh 0

Nick Fautz went the distance in the game to earn the shutout for the Rams. Jesus Cervantes struck for the first goal on an Andres Suazo-Ramirez assist before scoring again on an Evan Richter assist. Marshall Kosaka then assisted Suazo-Ramirez on back-to-back goals. Tristen Brown then assisted Cervantes and Richter assisted Kosaka.

Mt. Rainier 4, Hazen 0

David Lugo earned a shutout for the Rams against Hazen last Tuesday and Darwin Jones scored the first goal unassisted before scoring again on an A.J. Nitzel assist and on an Arnoldo Jose Orozco assist. Jose Luis Sahagun was assisted on the last goal by Shawn McGlynn.

Kelsey O'Keefe won for the Rams with a shutout on the mound last Wednesday.

Brittany Copenhaver, meanwhile, hit 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI as Sarah Martinez hit 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI and a stolen base. Ashley Messmer hit 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, three runs and four RBI.

Blessedjoy Mipalar hit 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

Lindbergh 12, Highline 2

Tyler Sanchez hit 2-for-3 and scored one run for the Pirates in last Wednesday's loss.

Evergreen 4, Tyee 2

Lisa Anderson threw a complete game win for the Wolverines Wednesday and Sabrina Hunter scored two runs.

Kennedy 17, Renton 3

Jessica Lewis won on the mound and hit 4-for-4 for the Lancers in last Wednesday's win.

Lindsy Dugan hit 3-for-4 with a triple and a home run and Lindsey O'Connell hit 3-for-4 with a double.

Jacob Elmore led the Totems by hitting 2-for-3 and winning on the mound with 10 strikeouts.

Cameron Fergusen, Colby Goodner and Johnny Walker all hit 2-for-4.

Derik Lewis hit a home run in the first for the Lancers in last Wednesday's loss to Renton.

Highline 9, Lindbergh 1

Ryan Brett threw all seven innings for the Pirates to earn Wednesday's win, striking out nine. Ryan Mayner hit 3-for-3 with two doubles.

Mt. Rainier 8, Hazen 3

Kyle Johnson and Andrew Larson-Pulver both homered for the Rams and Desmond Santos doubled and scored two runs.

Vashon 5, SCS 3

Nolan Collier hit 2-for-3 for the Warriors Wednesday and Eric Cross struck out eight in winning on the mound. Andrew Dragovich launched a home run.

Karli Merlich struck out 10 in throwing a one-hit shutout Thursday. Jamie Yellam hit 3-for-3 with a triple and a double and Ashley Davis hit 2-for-3 with three runs and five RBI. Davis hit a three-run homer and a double.

Mt. Rainier 11, Renton 1

Kristy O'Keefe won on a two-hitter for the Rams Friday. Kesley Berg, meanwhile, hit 3-for-3 and Shelby Klein hit 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI and three doubles with Brandi Brown hitting 2-for-4 with a double and a home run. Ashley Messmer hit 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs, two RBI and a stolen base.

Evergreen Lutheran was outhit, 10-5, in Thursday's loss.

Loren Gardner-Young tossed a one-hit shutout for the Rams Thursday, while Brian Alexander hit a double and racked up three RBI and Kyle Johnson hit a triple and drove in two runs.

Highline 17, Evergreen 0

Hayden Ravegno of Evergreen threw a no-hitter Thursday with nine strikeouts and no walks in five innings. He also hit 4-for-4 with a double and four RBI.

Chris Graham hit 4-for-4 with two doubles and Lee Carson hit 2-for-4 with two home runs and two RBI.

Fife 11, Foster 5

Nate Williams hit 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and two stolen bases for the Bulldogs in Thursday's loss as Joe Haggard hit 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Blessedjoy Mipaler struck out nine on her way to her win against Tyee Friday. Shelby Klein hit 3-for-5 with one run scored, two RBI and a home run.
