Federal Way swept crosstown rival Decatur in track and field action Thursday, upping the Eagle boys South Puget Sound League North Division record to 5-0.
The Federal Way girls, meanwhile, improved to 2-3.
"We're still rolling," said Federal Way boys coach Sam Beesley. "We did what we had to do to win."
The Eagles outscored the Gators, 88-53, as the Federal Way girls defeated Decatur, 77-59.
Andru Pulu was one of the leaders for the Federal Way boys team, winning the shot put at 50 feet, 9 inches and taking the discus at 132-05.
Andre Barrington also came up big for the Eagles with two wins. Barrington took the boys high jump at 6-0 and the triple jump at 43-06 1/2. He also finished third in the long jump at 20-06 3/4.
Ian Tevis of Federal Way, meanwhile, led the way in the long jump at 20-10 1/4 and Miles VanZee continued his dominance in the boys pole vault, winning that event by clearing the bar at 12-0.
Federal Way won the 1,600-meter relay with a time of 3:33.4 while Decatur took the 400-meter relay in 43.7.
The Eagles' Robert Shelby won the boys 300-meter hurdles in 40.1 and teammate Gregger Highberg took the boys 110-meter high hurdles in 15.3.
Jesse Johnson won the 400-meter dash for the Eagles in 53.5.
Decatur was not without its high finishers, either.
Speedster Ezra John Griffey took first in the 100-meter dash in 10.7 seconds and followed that up by taking the 200-meter dash in 22.2.
Justin Helm of the Gators wore a bright yellow headband while winning two individual distance events.
Helm won the boys 1,600-meter run in 4:41.6 and took the 3,200 in 10:36.1.
Justin Englund of Decatur was the winner of the boys 800 in 2:02.4.
Decatur's Shlonda Baker won the 100 in 12.4 and the 200 in 26.9. Jordyn Woodke won the 400 in 1:01.1 for the Gators and Jazmine Troutt of the Eagles won the 800 in 2:49.1.
Woodke took the triple jump at 36-07 and the shot put at 33-09 and Decatur teammate Bre Walch won the discus at 104-08.
Jasmine Johnson of the Eagles won the girls 1,600 in 5:56.2 and took the 3,200 in 12:28.0.
Federal Way's Jacqie Evenson took both the 100-meter hurdles in 16.2 and the 300 hurdles in 47.1. She also took the long jump at 15-11 1/2.
The Eagles flew solo in the 400-meter relay, finishing in 51.7 against no Decatur representative.
Jaleecia Roland of Federal Way won the high jump at 4-10 and teammate Kathryn Shimer took the pole vault at 7-0.
