When neighbors saw two young men try to kick in the door of a home Thursday evening, they yelled and gave chase. Ultimately, six to eight young men took off running southbound in the 3200 block of 40th SW. Three (residents of Renton, Tacoma, and south Seattle) were caught, detained and questioned by officers. They are also possible suspects in another residential burglary. They were released to one of the boys? fathers.

An armed robbery suspect is lucky to be in the county jail instead of the county morgue. As he fled to the area of 16th and Barton, he pointed a gun at an officer and threatened to shoot. The officer didn?t fire, but kept tracking the suspect and was able to positively identify him when he was taken into custody after trying to escape through a backyard fence. The SWAT unit later found the discarded gun (which turned out to be a pellet gun) on top of a TV in the doorway of an apartment. Other officers found stolen video games and consoles and nearly $600 in cash in an alley.
While parked near 30th and Findlay, an officer recognized the driver of a passing car and knew he was driving with a suspended license. (He also knew that the driver was wanted on a $15,000 warrant for theft.) When pulled over, the suspect immediately gave up and was booked into King County Jail.
As some friends left a tavern and passed the Morgan Junction McDonald?s, three men in a truck hollered and asked to borrow some money. The three responded that they didn?t have any, but one also suggested that the guys in the truck should "Get a job." Yelling profanities, the driver and his passengers drove off. But it turns out that they simply parked a couple of blocks away and decided to confront the friends. The group began arguing, and one of the suspects grabbed his waistband as if he were reaching for a gun. One of the victims was hit in the face and hit his head on the pavement as he fell to the ground. Another was punched in the face. After the fight, which lasted about 30 seconds, the suspects fled. The young man with the head injury was taken to Harborview for treatment. The suspects remain at large. They drove a white ?94-96 Chevy
